This is really a masterpiece of a terrain (not necessarily the map), and the most technical I have ever seen. Prepare yourself to get lost. After having made the Elvbrua maps, south east of this area, I realized that the terrain in this region generally shaped by large fluxes of melting water at the end of the last ice age. These fluxes has in areas left behind "ripples" like on a sandy beach, but of a much larger magnitude. In the southern half of this map, you can see the remnants of a river inlet/delta into a proglacial lake that filled the valley to the west.

The map is named after the river that runs through map, and should be a great opportunity to train your contour reading skills. The runability and visibility is generally good, in some areas almost open, so your ability to orienteer fast will be thoroughly tested.

Thanks to the COVID-19 outbreak, I got time to finish this map. I decided to put the entire area on a single map in 1:10 000, so bear with me, it is 48x50 cm in size (right). But I have also manage to produce an A3-map in 1:15 000 cropping away som peripheral areas (left).

There are usynligo courses on this map, part of the Rendalen Trilogy.
